Yes, I heard it was a heart attack and I'm sorry to hear the news. He hasn't been in the best of health in recent years but says he can't retire because he can't afford to. It's sad that so many older artists got cheated out of their royalties.

Bo created one of the essential rhythms of rock and roll when he adapted "Shave and a Haircut, Two Bits". With Jerome Green's (his maraca player) help, they made the Bo Diddley beat famous all over the world.

I am a huge fan. Having seen many of the founders of Rock & Roll in concert, Bo is the only one that still played like he meant it.

I'm going to pour myself a drink, put on "Bo Diddley" (first album) and toast to his health. I hope every true Rock & Roll fan will join me.

Yeah, I just heard about his heartattack too. He had suffered a stroke as well earlier in the year.
