Well if the two would race against each other i would put my money on Jeff Gordon!

At present I'd have to say Gordon, in Waltrip's hay day it would probably be Waltrip. You have to consider the tracks, the cars, and the styles of racing. They both are and were great drivers. Jeff still has along way to go while Darrel has moved on to a different genre.

You are talking 2 different generations of drivers and cars.
Over all I could say Jeff Gordon is a better driver but in his day Darrel was the best in his generation.

darrell waltrip hands down.maybe jeff has lots of championships but darrel was a great driver.he loved racing.and he made it fun to watch him race.cool driver darrell waltrp. and far as jeff forget it i dont like him and never will.

Well I never have liked Waltrip but he was one heck of a driver. Jeff is a little whip and always will be.

I'd have to say Jeffy is the better driver. It is a toss up as to whcih one is more annoying. WIth DW being in the booth more I guess he wins that one for now
