Doesn't the fact that you have to keep telling this lie to defend your beliefs tell you something about the quality of those beliefs? It should.
Ask yourself why you're so afraid of atheism. We know why - it's obviously because you're aware that you've committed yourself to pretending to believe children's stories. You know full well there isn't any god, hon. Every time you post this lie, you make it clearer that you're aware of that fact.

Oy. This...this just makes my head hurt.
I am not, in any way, obsessed with Christians. I discuss Christianity because it's what I'm surrounded by (especially where I live). I believe that your belief (that I somehow think God exists) is as wrong as wrong can be. If I thought God existed, deep down or otherwise, I wouldn't be an atheist. Why do Christians have so much trouble understanding that?

Christians are wrong to begin with, they do things wrong, follow things wrong and blindly do things that are strictly against the bible. Read Ezekiel 8 and focus on 8:16 and realize the sun worshipers are them. SUN-day, SUN behind Jesus, SUN behind cross. AMEN at end of all to give praise to AMEN-RAH the SUN god. Hate to say it, but you've been duped. The book is real, but its been slightly twisted for you to think another way.
Its great that the atheist see this, point it out and call attention to it all. But that is the problem they have. For that is all they do, is point, snicker and make jokes. Yet they follow something even more stupid, that we came from goo, yea, uhh, ok.
But, saying that, atheists are closer to the real truth than the Christians. But they lack the fact and knowledge of how to turn around. For if they did, and realized why those errors where there, who put them in, when, why, etc. Then that last door would open for them and they could easily say....
AHHHHHH, NOW it all makes sense. All of life does. Cause now they would realize the missing pieces of the puzzle and complete it and realize how it all ties together and realize the lies that are intertwined with it.
I did... I was an atheist for 30 yrs. Then I turned around, and now I know the truth. And truth is not in a church, Acts 17:24-26

I honestly believe that all mankind knows that God exists and you tipped on most of the reason why that is evident.
However, I think that many atheists are running from God because they're afraid of what will happen to them if they do give their life over to Him. They can't even begin to grasp the idea that anyone would love them the way Jesus does, and so the rest of it all seems like a lie as well.
As for the "don't tell me about hell," crowd; I believe that they have heard the truth and in the deepest recesses of their hearts they know they have already been convicted, but they can't humble themselves to accept the fact that they, just like everyone else has blown it once or twice. To admit they're a sinner, means they would have to comes to terms with a part of themselves that they have so caringly buried deep inside wher they never have to look at their own ugliness.
But...that's just my opinion.

Following your logic that since atheists have questions about Christians, Christian faith, and other symbols of religion, we're "obsessed" with your God and secretly believe in him, that would entail that since you're asking questions about atheists, since you seem "so obsessed" with atheists, you must not believe in God.
If you really didn't care about us athiests and our Godless ways, you'd surely be gone by now, ignoring us. Instead, you ask questions about us, posting your theories, insulting us and what not - so if I follow your logic, you must be an atheist at heart if I'm a Christian at heart for wondering a thing or two about your religion.
I'm sorry chief, but just because someone wants to know a thing or two about something so they're not totally in the dark about this, doesn't mean they secretly like it or secretly believe in it - it just means there's something about it they want to know.
You're a fool to think that just because I ask a question about your faith, that I'm "secretly" and "deep down" a believer in disguise and denial.

I live in a society that is over 80% Christian. Like it or not Christianity is going to affect me. I can't simply ignore it.
As for your theory that atheists deep down believe in God, believe in what you want about them. It doesn't make it true.

Keep on thinking you are 'special' trust me we know you are. We are not obsessed with Christians, a few tidbits for you, there appears to be many more Christians here than other faiths, so naturally more debate is going to occur between us. We do NOT believe in god, any god. My feelings are the same towards all religion and the paranormal and supernatural. It is all claptrap.
For those of us who live in the US it is impossible to ignore you, because you are constantly attempting to insert your delusions into areas where they are at best not welcome, at worst illegal.
If we thought you would go away, we would be happy to ignore you.

I was an atheist for a while because I simply did not believe. However, it didnt change my mind when people would tell me what to believe or that I was going to Hell because I didnt believe. Actually, thats the thing that would get me the most frustrated is when people would tell non-believers that God loved them. I mean, no one can tell me what to believe or that someone I didnt even know loves me. I had to find out and believe for myself.
So 17 years later, I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saint because two missionaries came to my door and asked me to pray and ask God for myself if he was there and if the Book of Mormon was true. And I got my answer and it was a yes. :)
But even now I get a bit upset when religious zealots tells atheist things like God forgives or he loves you. It takes time for them to find out for themselves. So to be the best Christians we can it would be best not to tell them what to believe, but rather have religious tolerance and tolerance towards other people believes.

Actually, this question reveals your own doubts. You project your own doubts on others, and require their doubt to support your faith. You know that 100 generations have passed before you, waiting for the End of Times, so the odds in your lifetime are trivial. You put up a brave front, but your doubt is glaringly obvious.

So is it true that ignorance is bliss?
Why don't we ignore you? Because your superstitious nonsense affects OUR lives. WAY too much. THAT'S why we talk about religion.
And we're on to the fact that you're just trying to piss us off by stating the old, tired and worn "Atheists really know that God loves them" fallacy. Sorry, but I'm not biting.
