What is the exact purpose of prayer? It must be to communicate and praise Him because, His will be done....?

Question

His will will be done regardless. I have always been confused as to why people pray other than to talk to him because His will will be done regardless, right?

So, what happens when I pray for God to surround my children with angels to protect them from all harm and evil? If it is His will, it will be done and if it is not, it won't?

Right, His will is what we as believers should want to be done. Many people would have you think that God is like a genie, if you ask in Jesus name, with faith, He will give you anything. This is far from the truth. God has made to us a promise to give us who are true believers, our needs to be filled. And our needs are very small, if you have one meal a day, some money in your pocket, ( any amount ) one suit of clothes, and some kind of shelter, you are doing better than 80% of the world population. Sounds crazy, but it is true.

As believers, we are to have no care of this world or the things in it. Our minds are to be focused on the Kingdom of God, where we are citizens, for in this world we are only sojourners.

As for the prayer, we must understand the phrase, " in my name, " in the days of Jesus, this phrase ment, " in the will of the person that was named. " So as long as it is in the will of God, you get a, " yes " to your reguest. And of course faith is the backbone of any relationship. God wants to have a relationship with you. In the Greek, the word translated Father, is better translated as Daddy. So God wants you to think of Him as Daddy, and you are His child. It's all about a Father child relationship.

When you pray He listens and God will inspire you. He will answer you through the scripture and other readings.
