If a guy has a certain preference as far as race, but ends up dating one who isn't his preference... as far as race, should his girlfriend feel a little insecure?

Here is an example.
My friend wasn't racist but never really found Spanish men attractive. Then she met this boy who was Spanish and fell completely in love. preferences are just an idea people have of one perfect guy or girl. No one ever gets their perfect boy or girl love just happens when it happens no matter who it is with. Don't stress seriously. You're lucky he didn't just look at your race but liked you for your personality instead.

No why? I mean it clearly shows that the guy is open to dating everyone. I don't see why we just have to stick with our preference all the time. I like white guys as my preference, but I would date others. Sometimes different people just bring new things to the table. Just shows he is flexible in his tastes. But do make sure he is dating you for the right reasons and not for any rumors he may have heard about you or anything. Because that can be a really low and hurtful blow to anyone.

I wouldn't. I don't have preferences when it comes to race or superficial stuff like that. But I do try to break away from the typical guys I'm attracted to. I figure I may be limiting myself by continuing to go for the same men over and over. Perhaps this guy is taking a chance to see what he can find if he doesn't limit himself.

thats a fairly loaded question so let me answer it by saying this, no matter what the occation is his gf will always feel a little insecure, and remarkably it has nothing to do with race its just that women are naturally a little insecure and if it makes you feel any better so are most guys these days for god only knows what reason.

not at all. Women come in different shapes, sizes, and styles. Everyone has a preference but life is full of unexpected twists and turns. He may have only liked tall women but one day found a short woman who really interested him.

Never be with a man who makes you feel insecure. Its not worth it! You are beautiful in the skin color your in! Black white it dosn't matter, and it shouldn't matter to him. Find someone who really appreciates you. A "guy" with racial preferances is really shallow =] dont worry you can get much better!

it means one of two things:
1. If ya'll are having sex then he's probably using you for sex
2. Perhaps he grew up and realized that girls are girls no matter the race
there are certain racial stereotypes about who's better for what in bed, keep that in mind. It's a guy thing

We all have preference about what we think should be the standard of our ideal partner. That doesnt mean that if our partner falls short, that we will not go out with them.
