I have a 1999 manual-drive Toyota Corolla. It has low miles, 84K, and no accidents, but I ran over a plastic bottle of black paint a couple of years ago. The driver's side has a big, black rooster-tail of black all over the doors, and the bumper has a few scratches. Is it worth the money to get it repainted before trying to sell it?

you should just sell the car the way it is but for a reasonable price of course the cost of the repairs would be to great for you to make any type of real profit on so just sell the car the way it is and prepare to be haggled allot because people are going to give BS excuses to try and get the price down as much as they can.

It would help you sell the car. You can compare it to curb appeal with a house.
I wouldn't get a real expensive paint job. I don't know if you will recover all of your money back or not. The only thing is you will sell it faster, and that means a lot.

good luck.
