holy mother of mary god, i hope that the draft doesnt include women because I would run like a scared little pussy cat! I am NOT built for WAR! i would break a nail, ruin my makeup, I am not mentally strong enough for war, nor am I physically strong enough...I couldnt even LIFT one of those guns and if I did, wouldnt even know what to do with it....That is why I am so grateful to each proud military member for protecting their own and fighting for me...The military isnt having a shortage of voluntary recruits....thank goodness there are so many brave men out there!

I'm too old, but I registered during Viet Nam even though females were not drafted. The general consus among military leaders is that a draft won't work because it takes so long to complete training that a drafted soldier would have no time to actually serve before his enlistment time is up. They only want career soldiers for this reason.

before i enlisted in the army i was as unpatriotic as a blank flag on a unamed island meaning i didnt care about **** concerning the U.S. but then i went in and that all changed when i saw some phucked up **** in bosnia, kosovo, egypt, saudi, and in iraq and in that order, if i was out hell yeah i would serve . i get so tired of these flag burning inconsiderate *** spoiled kids who want to eat off america, get rich in america and say and do whatever in america but cant defend her, or wont defend her. upon my 1st tour in iraq i was asked by my assistant squad leader was i scared , and i replied yes i was but not the fear of dying more like a fear of not coming back but then again i was even more scarred of what would happen to my family if war ever hit here, a man who stands for nothing will fall for any and everything besides this war when it comes down to it is over land and nothing else but land, land is the biggest assest on the face of the earth before there was money there was land and all a man had was land and all man wants now is land why do you think home ownership is so expensive, it aint the home it is the land lol so in end yes the U.S. we are bullies and we do take and dont give back the only thing you have to ask yourself is do you wanna be on the winning side or the loosing side and we all see how the loosers are living and everyone is trying to get here for one reason or another now if that is not a reason to fight i dont know what is , i guess some dudes still sit down to pee lol

I doubt we will see a draft again unless there is a world war 3 in which case I would definitely go if we want to stay free.

Well I've grown a little since I hung my uniform in my closet back in 1982 for the last time. My back is not is great shape, but I can still do the job I was trained to do, and actually be more qualified than what they are turning out since I've been in the field since I got out of the service. No I will not hide.

Well, first off as a Christian I would register as a Conscientious Objector. But if I didn't qualify, I would gladly serve my country in any way possible. I would oppose killing anyone, but if I had to, I know that I would serve without hesitation knowing that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. But I would first try to either serve civil service or non-combat positions first. God Bless U.S.A. and may we forever be free.

I would serve and die for my country.
And to you people who thinks this war is for oil do I need to remind you of 9/11. If you run like a coward you should never see the light of day again.

There will not be a draft because conscripts are more trouble than they are worth. Vietnam proved that.

Absolutely... freedom isn't free.
By the way "Crazy!!" If your husband isn't "dying for oil"... perhaps you should stop driving your vehicle and stop using electricity. You two should start using candles and riding a bike... then we won't need the oil.
