the usage of human hair as fertilizer we are hearing new.Although they contain protien as thus may lead to nitrogen release by the help of micro organisms yet the may make the soil contaminated as people use different kinds of chemicals on their hair. There is no need of moisture yet you should place them below the soil surface. So their decomposition rate will be increased.

Why what? Hair can last forever in dry surroundings. I don't know if it really a useful fertilizer in wet surroundings; there is a lot of other things around that work (including poo-poo).
