If your husband works, you probably should both leave your withholdings alone, assuming that you both did not owe last year.
It would be safest if you get a copy of the Form W-4 package from the IRS website and complete the worksheets on page 2 together. That will help you arrive at the proper number of withholding allowances for your tax situation. That number is the total number of allowances that you should claim between the two of you. You can share them any way you wish but if one of you has a significantly higher income than the other that person should claim all of them and the other should claim zero.

You should probably change it now. You will have to file a married tax return in 2007. Overall, it won't make a huge difference, but your withholdings will be closer to the amount actually owed.

Depends on if you want more money in your paycheck now, or if you want a bigger refund come next April. More money now = change W4 to married, bigger refund = leave it as is. Here's a paycheck calculator website, www.paycheckcity.com, to help you decide what to do.

You can change it now. When you file your taxes for 2007, you can claim on your 1040 that you are married filing jointly.
changing it now will result in a higher take home pay.
