Pregnancy belly casts. Did you make one?

Did you make a belly cast when you were pregnant? If so...?
how is it currently being displayed or stored? I've been considering making one but am thinking I probably won't because I can't imagine actually having the room to display it... and think it would probably just sit around collecting dust. Where, honestly, is yours now if you did have it done?

All of my friends talked about creating shadow boxes or hanging theirs on the walls, etc. But now they're just sitting, some unpainted, in their garages... taking up space and collecting dust.

Thoughts?

I have my son to remind me of pregnancy, the last thing I want is a cast of that miserable belly. I was in such pain for all those months....

my son is much better than anything else.. lol. Besides I know if i had taken a cast it would be packed away in the attic some where... however, it would be fun if i had a daughter to look at it some day... i never considered that.

I didn't make one, although I think they are a cute idea. I have a friend who painted hers like a Halloween pumpkin and uses it each year as a decoration. But other than that I haven't really seen anyone do anything with theirs. It's just one of those things that you have and then wonder what to do with it. But then again if you don't do it are you going to wish you had? If you do it at least then you can decide if you want to store it or not, but if you don't do it you've lost the chance...

Personally I prefer tasteful tummy growth pictures, they are easier to store ;)

I always wanted to but never did. I would paint it and put it in my child's room as a decoration like on the dresser or something until we changed the decor in the room. Im not sure what I would do with it afterwards. If its not expensive, then go for it. It would be fun to do no matter what you ended up doing with it. You could display it in your room after you changed the baby's room into a big kid's room. Or display it somewhere in your living room. I couldnt see myself displaying it around my house, maybe save it for when that child was older and if it was a girl give it to her as a present or something when she gets pregnant. I think that would be cool.

I wish I made one. You could paint it and use it as a punch bowl. Or turn it into a planter. I did get nice pregnancy pictures done to commemorate by belly.

My wife and I actuall made one using the print outs from her ultra sounds. Everyone thinks it was the neatest idea. It's currently on top of our entertainment center.
