I caught one I was going to prepare t to eat but then I didn't know if it was toxic

Depends on the time of year and water quality. Ice fishing yields excellent sunfish for eating. lso early spring is a great time. Late summer things start getting different if the pond/lake tht develop algea bloom. Otherwise they are a mild good eating whitefish.

Yes, your little sunfish should be OK to eat as long as you caught him in a clean lake. You know no dead bodies floating around in it, or fish with 4 eyes or anything. I bet you'll need alot of them to fill you up though!

It depends on the water it came out of :poluted water bad fish,clean water, the fish is ok species is ok but you need 2 or 3 for a meal.

yes it is safe to eat. But the united states says that in certin areas you shouldn't eat more then 5 or 3 fish a month. idk where you live or anything but sun fish are indeed edible.

it is a pan fish and if the water it lives in is safe then the fish will be safe
