I've bought this car last week and today someone from dealership called me and saied that the need my proof of income. Well I have no problem with that but since within a week i took this car three time to service department for minor problems, I'm thinking that this is a good chance that i dont show them the proof of income so maybe they take the car away. Because if they cant approved the loan, it means that I never purchased that car. What is my answer?

If you do not provide proof of income, and the dealer can not get the financing, then you will have to return the vehicle. It seems that in this case, you are not happy with the car, and not getting financed would not bother you!

It is up to you to do anything more to get the car financed. If you do not, and the dealer is unable to get the financing approved, then they will have to cancel the sale or finance the vehicle in house!

You have to decide what you want to do.

Good luck

(do not believe oscarmzqt when he says you are contractually obligated to provide more than the dealer originally asked for! He says he is a "closer" which means he works in a "TO" type dealership which uses high pressure and multiple sales people in a tag team type effort to sell cars!)

there is a good possibility they will take it away if you don't show them proof,it sort of sounds like you wouldn't care too much on this one,3 times back to the shop in a week isn't good, maybe its a good idea if they do take it back, but they was supposed to verify that before they sold you the car, that's their fault for not finding this out, good luck with what ever you decide on it.

You have signed a contract that demands you comply with the dealer in order to get the car financed and if you don't comply you are breaking a contractual agreement. You cannot force the dealer to unwind the deal. Only a mutual agreement between you and the dealer, can un-due the contract. read your contract.
