If the dogs are being walked by their owners, then I would ask the owner to please pick it up. If the dogs are loose, then you should probably call animal control.

I have seen people use used plastic drink bottles , fill them with water , put the lid on an lay em on your lawn. Apperently that'll keep the dumpers away.

Well, I take it that it is not your dog you are talking about.
Check your local laws and see what all they cover for dogs.
I live in PA and we have a "leash law" that all pets must be on a leash off your property. You can receive a find if someone reports you

put up a fence.that's the only way to stop it. if you shoot the with a water pistol with ammonia in it the humane society will make a case against you.so don't do that. or talk to the owner.

Speak with their owners. Shoot them (the dogs not the owners) with a squirt gun of ammonia.
