Quotes make the world go round. People change the words around a little bit, publish the quote and take credit for it. Curiously the only Randall Leighton I could find was a fictional character in a book, "Lit Riffs: A Collection of Original Stories Inspired by Songs" by Jonathan (CON) Lethem, Tom Perrotta, and Matthew Miele. Fifty-three books on Google Books use the phrase, "Work like you don't need the money." While many of them attribute it to unknown or anonymous, others claim the words as their own.
