yea my dad is a doctor, and i just got one couple months ago, seriously, if you dont think about, you wont feel it. seriously, i was freaked out about shots, i repeatedly said i wont get it, and when the day came i felt embarassed because it didnt feel bad. in other terms the shot you are getting feels like someone's nailscratching your skin...lightly....just relax

I Had To Take Like Three Of Em When I Was 10 Because The doctor Needed To Run Some Tests....But After He Gave Me The Shotz He Said They Weren't Needed Anymore....I Was Mad....But It Didn't Hurt....It Just Wasted Alot O fMy Time Cuz I Was There For like 4 Hours....No Worries At All....They Will Tell You To Read Something On The Wall And It Will Be Over....It Hurts A Little Bit More Than Getting Your Ear Peirced But Its In Your Arm...

Well, a few things you may want to try could be:
Don't look at the area when they're giving the shot
Take some deep breaths before and maybe even during the time you're getting the shot
Ask if there is any sort of numbing medication they can give you prior to the shot
Ask if you can take any type of pain reliever if you have pain at the injection site after the shot
I don't think there's too much to worry about. Like said before, you'd probably rather have to get the shot, rather then have Tetnus.
I want to wish you luck!

1. The small amount of pain for the shot is nothing compared to the pain you could have if you contracted actual tetanus....so do your best to get the shot.
2. Think about something else.
3. Ask them if they can numb the area or if you can ice the area to numb it ahead of time. They may say no, but you can still ask.

It feels like a normal shot while you're getting it. My arm was sore for days though. Some people go through this, others do not.

Just don't watch the needle going in, don't think about it at all. I got a tetanus shot like... four years ago, and I remember it NOT hurting because I focused on playing my GBA.

Just don't watch them do it. Look the other way. It will be over in just a second. Your arm will be sore for a couple of days but it will go away. Good luck! :-)

It has to go IM or intramuscular and if you tense up your muscle, it will hurt worse. Ask for the shot in your gluteus maximus (your butt) and it should hurt less.

Go to Wal Mart and get some burn cream (the sort with lidocaine).
It will numb the area ahead of time.
NO worries :)
