It took two people for the pregnancy to occur. The woman and man made their choice, and in turn should be able to live with the possible consequences of their actions. I think that men have just as much a right to the child as does the mother. If it wasn't for both people the woman would not be pregnant.
Many women say, it is a woman's body and thus her choice. This, except for rape cases, is crap. That woman already made her CHOICE, when she had sex. People need to learn that they are RESPONSIBLE for their actions. The argument about choice, is in fact a null arguement. You made a choice and took a risk, live with it.
Lastly, the child is innocent. There is no reason to harm any innocent person, regardless of age. And no, I am not a religious nut. In fact, I am pretty much atheist. So that has nothing to do with my anti-abortion stance.

OK. to the comment about dead beat dads. I do not doubt that there are more deat beat dads than mothers. I would bet though, that part of the cause of this is women almost always get custudy. It is kind of hard to be a dead beat when, if you deserve it or not, you have custody.
You mention to look at this from a different prospective. I do that in everything I do, and even more so when I don't agree with the person I am talking to. From either point of view, I think that my stance would help the other sex. Either way, both the mother and father are responsible.
If you respond, please back up your response with your reasoning. Do not just say yes/no/you are an a** please. If you disagree with me, please give me a logical explanation as to why you do.

Well, kill_yr_television either didn't bother to read the details to my questions or does not have the ability to read. I said many times that PEOPLE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS. That was my main point.
You did not seem to understande a single word I said. What part of MEN and WOMEN are accountable for their actions. If you make a mistake, you must take the responsibility for it, no matter if you are a man or woman. Please read the question before you say something that makes yourself sound like an a**.

I think you're right. And the way people see this in a lot of cases, is that the guy is so wrong if he suggests abortion when the woman wants to keep it, but when the guy wants it, if the woman wants to rid of it, she has that right. She took on the responsibility as well as he did.
If the dad is just against it, and he has no intention to stay and help out, then yes, I think the woman should do what she feels is best. But if she doesnt want to raise it, and he's willing to support and love it, then a guy should have that right.

As long as the father is not a dead beat, that the woman knows would never care for the child (not emotionally.. but monetarily, be there to help with baby sitting, doctor's appts, etc) then I believe the man has a say as to what happens to his child. I can see how a woman would have an abortion against the father's wishes if he were without a job, without prospects, and basically would be unable to help with the child. Even if the man were unable to help, but wanted to step up to the plate and change his ways in order to better his life for his child, then absolutely, the decision to keep or abort the baby should be for both parents to discuss and make together.

I completely agree with you, it was their choice to have sex. When I have sex with my gf I know if she ever got pregnant I would be around for the baby, because we would keep it(although difficult I'm only 20 and so is she). It's not fair for the woman to raise the baby on her own or go through it all on her own, because you are also responsible for the baby. Most people don't realize having sex means there is a possibility of pregnancy and if you can't deal with that, than don't be having sex. But they want to have sex and end up killing an innocent life because of it. Funny how some women are like it's not a baby it's a fetus but later on in life when they want to keep the baby they say they're having a baby, such hypocrites. Abortion is one of the most hedonistic behavior to the max. But you can't blame all the girls who have abortion look at our society they make abortions so easy to get. The girl gets scared about all the stigma about being pregnant at an early age. But don't judge the girls who are 17 and pushing baby carriages they actually had the guts to go through with the pregnancy and had to deal with their parents and all that stuff. Aboriton is a much easier option. They slaughter babies in those back parts of certain hospitals which is pretty sick. There really is no way to justify that. It's a sick world. Men should have some say in it, that's why I will never have sex with a girl that is pro choice. I can't take the risk of losing a kid like that.

Well, the child isn't living in the man's body. The man experiences NONE of the labor pains. The baby does not come into the world through the man's penis.
I believe that people should be responsible for their actions, without a doubt.
But how many men after the child is born are history?
Where is your post to the dead beat dads who haven't "Lived with" the "risk" they took?

Buddy, it sound to like all you are is making some pitiful case for the idea that Roe v Wade somehow excuses you from taking responsibility for where you squirt your nasty baby-making juices. You are RESPONSIBLE for your actions! If you don't want to have a baby, then don't squirt that juice, brother! Or at least get that surgery to take the baby-making stuff out of the juice!
And WHAT the HELL business does YOU or any of your wanker brothers have making a baby with a lady when you don't even know if that lady WANTS a baby? If you didn't know her well enough to talk about a possible pregnancy BEFORE you squirted your nasty juices in her, then you sure as hell have NO business telling her what to do AFTER you've enjoyed your little squirt.
Suppose you worry about what kind of rights and responsibilities a PREGNENT PERSON has when YOU have some realistic apprehension of being a pregnant person YOURSELF, you nasty pig.

First of all if you are having sex with someone that you are
not committed to... you really lose all rights to say.
One night stands lead to a whole can of worms.
Usually the guy leaves and the woman has to deal with the
pregnancy. So the choice is rightly hers. Her body, and life is
on the line when and if any complications where to arise. So her choice. Since you are a man asking this I'd say you made a mistake and now have to pay for it. Financially speaking. You played now have to pay. Own up to it and don't made the same decisions in the future.

I think that men should get a say but the woman gets the choice. She is the one with the baby in her stomach. She has a bond with the child unlike any other human on Earth. She is the one who has to carry the child around with her for nine months. The mom and child have a bond unlike any other. A man should not make a woman kill her child before they even let them breath air on Earth.

Yes, men should have a say in abortion if they are the father or grandfather to the unborn child. The child is not 100% the mother, but rather 50% mother and 50% father. If one can not care for a child, then the child needs to be adopted out. There are many couples who would like to have a child, but biologically incapable of doing so.

i don't think so.
they would understand if they had pu55ies.
hm, okay easy for a stupid guy to say.
and yeah, women do get raped and pregnant, so shut it.
listen ladies, you just got pregnant after wanting a child for so long.. and then your man decides that HE, the one NOT carrying the child, probably NOT being there for the woman, is going to tell you whether or not you are going to kill what you two created. its another story for women who don't want their child, but a guy shouldn't have any right. like i said, they dont have the parts.
i mean, its ridiculous, really. besides, he shouldn't be f*cking her if he doesn't want the responsibility of the kid.

The man should have a say in what happens,i believe that if two people knowing have unprotected sex then they need to be responsible for the outcome in 9 months,or at least give the child to more responsible people.
