Hey, I'm Asian as well and not sure if you face the same problem I do- I have a hard time finding a good stylist who understands Asian hair growth and texture and knows how to cut it. It took me a while to find someone- even some Asians weren't doing a good job! I've paid quite a bit trying all kinds of upscale salons until I've found the right lady who now cuts my hair. Anyway, as for your question, the "in" looks are natural , one step colors, anything with movement, so think long layers and not short jagged layers. I find that bangs may seem typical for Asian girls, but it's actually very flattering. I'd ask for full bangs that you can wear in the front and also sweep to the side. Since your hair length is past your shoulders, you could take a curling iron and curl up the layers in your hair to give it some movement. Think...glamour and romantic styles. Here are some photos of Asian haircuts that may or may not suit you, depending on your face shape and facial features:

BTW, Emma Watson's hair great, if you mean this style:

You should get something with lots of movement like that haircut with bangs, that would be cute.

side bangs are super cute, you can where them how ever you want like just to the side up or whatever. i have side bangs and black hair. and my hair is about your length. I think you should get a perm because then you will have the waves you want for about a year and you can get layers. plus I'm asian and i have layers, trust me they don't look that bad at all!

Well there's this site called
http://www.thehairstyler.com/
You can upload ur pic on it and try different haircuts, including celebrity hair cuts, so u could try emma watson's. People rate the site an' say it really helped them. But it costs money.

i think that layers look great on Asians. A couple of girls at my school have them and they look terrific. You should get a shortish cut with layers and maybe sidebangs. Hope I helped!

go for a layered shoulder length style, maybe with a whispy fringe - then you have the choice of letting it do its own curly thing, tying it up in a ponytail or blowing it straight and fluffy .... lots you can do with that

Get bangs.. that could desire to look completely attractive. Do what I did; get your bangs short adequate so which you will positioned on them in front of your face, yet you will positioned on them factor-swept. i like it! And, in case you do no longer pick bangs in any respect, all you pick is two bobby pins and you're set! sturdy success!

Emma Watson's hair is wavy but her cut will work for straight hair that has lots of body.
