Why wasn't Open Heart Surgery? Why wasn't advancements in Medicine? What about sewage drainage systems? Water Transportation methods such as Aquiducts? If god knows everything and he Inspired or wrote the bible then how come he didn't have the foresight to have decent enough counter arguments to evolution? And how come Pagan cultures developed advancements before any Judeo -Christian culture could?

It makes more sense when you realize it's all a big mythical story.

We're all in agreement that God didn't actually write this thing, correct? That God at no point claims authorship, although it's ascribed to It? And that it's all metaphor used to explain the mysteries of the world, not unlike every other faith?
Your question posits the validity of the text, not that it's the history of some desert tribe that got adopted by a bigger culture with a better distribution system. The text is invalid, what you know and feel is real.

Relax, only one country treats the Bible as a history book. The rest of the world is cool about the facts of evolution, hell they have been around for 160 years now. But I agree that this one lone country is a bit worrying, I mean the religious nuts actually put an imbecile called George W into the power seat... and they have lots of nuclear weapons... be afraid, be very afraid.

God probably thought that the evidence people would cite for evolution is so flimsy that we would eventually see through it and reject that unprovable, unobservable hypothesis.

As long as science keeps probing and testing and making new discoveries they should eventually find a better explanation for life and the Universe.

Had God written down all the knowledge in the Universe for us, what library could have held it all and what person could read it all even if granted several lifetimes?

Was it not better to give us some basic instructions about how to live and how to avoid annihilating ourselves and our planet and then leave the rest to us to discover for ourselves when we were ready for that knowledge?

Secondly, even a Pagan or an Atheist can use his God-given intelligence to develop "advancements", the fact that he credits it to the wrong source (or no source at all) changes nothing.

Shoot, I'd have believed that it was divine writ if there was anything in there about pi, limits at infinity, derivations, DNA...you know, stuff like that. Instead it just looks like a book written thousands of years before any of that stuff was discovered.

Edit: Homeland Security: That makes no sense whatsoever. Seriously, none. At all. Not even the least, tiniest bit. What ABOUT bugs bunny? Seriously, what's your point? I'm intrigued now....

God gave Adam a deep sleep before He performed an operation, Isn't that anesthesia?

God instructed His people how to discharge their excrement...

Deuteronomy 23:13
And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:

I think there is no advanced toilet back then. And it spared them a lot of diseases such as cholera.

They don't need aqueducts, water comes out of rock anyway.
God says when you look at the heaven, it is enough to say that an intelligent Heavenly Architect place everything there...

Some things we have to discover for ourselves. If God told us everything about the world we live in, there would be no point to science, and no progress. Therefore, he told us what we need to know to save our souls, not what we need to know to operate sewers efficiently.

No rational person will say point-blank that EVOLUTION DID NOT HAPPEN. Evolution most likely did happen. But there is no reason why the Bible and evolution must contradict one another. It is entirely plausible that humans evolved, animals evolved, and plants evolved, all separately from one another.

Evolution was mentioned.

The problem today that too many people have with the Bible is they think it should be an encyclopedia.

Mentioned evolutions;

1-The snake that lost its legs.

2-Men lived longer lives since Adam til after Noah. [Then God shortened the life span]

3-From the need for incenst to God decreeing it unnecessary and distorting dna to those who tried.

I know of some more...but I cannot recall them in my mind at this moment..

The changes are subtle..
NOT everything has to be mentioned specifically.

Because its besides the point! The Bible is focussed on God's interaction with Man, man's reaction to God, and things like that.

Its not a "facts about everything that will/has happened" book!

Obviously God got busy because he looked into the discovery of drugs...

No... but honestly... I think that the bible is useless... Christians would have an easier fight if they got rid of it...
