No, the Navy Corpsmen (they are like the Army medics, but they take care of the Marines and/or Navy) are the only ones from the Navy.

The Marine Corps falls under the Department of the Navy but is its own seperate branch. As you can see in our emblem; the Eagle is for "Nation", the Globe is for "World-wide services" and the Anchor is for our Naval tradition. We are amphibious therefore we work closely with the Navy.

Yes always have been and always will be. The original job was to perform sharpshooting on naval vessels and to keep those lowly enlisted sailors from trying to do harm to the officers in time of mutiny.
It wasn't until later that the marines began to be more of an elite armed force all their own. After the Army tried for the third time to take them over.

Yes, way back when the Navy decided that they needed real men to fight the wars and created the MArines. Marines cant live without the Navy,....I mean who else but the navy will cook for them, clean up their battle wounds and be their chauffers to the fight?

Yes. Ask a Marine to show you his paycheck. If he's not too embarrassed to show you how little he makes, you will see that it is signed by the Secretary of the Navy.
