Most nights, I wake up after a couple of hours of sleep with a severe cramp on the right side of my back between my shoulder blade and waist. This pain will last for a couple of hours, and it is so painful, it makes me so nautious I throw up, and I can't stop crying. I've tried every over the counter pain med, but they don't help, cause I usually throw them up. Even a massage won't help. I've had these pains for 11 years, but it was only a couple of times a year. I gained a lot of weight after I had my first son 5 years ago, so I think that weight has something to do with it. But it has only gotten frequent these past couple of years. I have stayed the same weight for the past 5 years, so why did it wait 3 years after I put on the weight to become frequent. I've tried going to the hospital for it in the middle of the night, and I have to wait so long, that by the time they see me, it has gone away. Does anybody else have this happen to them? Do you know what it could be?

I have had 2 more kids in the past 5 years, and am pregnant with #4, so I can't take anything stronger than tylenol.

Hot showers and cold showers/baths don't work.
