I am so sorry to hear this. One thing to remember is that your mental health is so much more important than being thin. Most people gain wait on medication for mental illness. I'm proud of you for taking your medication, because chances are, your depression would be even worse without them.

Do talk to your doctor though. Explain to him or her how you are feeling. Anti-depressants each work differently for everyone. The only way to find the right fit is trial and error. Maybe it is time to try something new.

Also, are you receiving talk-therapy in addition to medication? These two treatments together are the most effective way to recover from mental illness.

So, does your Dr. know
what you're now taking isn't working well for you?
That's your first step.

Have you been going to therapy too?
It can really make a big difference.

Lets not worry too much about the weight, stabilize it first,
then get to walking...which is good for your emotions as well.

For myself, I am so grateful to have my mind back,
the weight is the least of my worries.
