The CVN 68 Nimitz Class are the largest AirCraft carriers in the world. Look in Janes Fighting ships for all the info. The USS Ronnie Regan CVN-76 the largest and newest now with the USS George H. Bush CVN-77 being the last of this class when commissioned it will be the largest.

As per my knowledge it is Nimitz Class from United States & it is a full load displacement of 97,000t.First carrier was deployed in 1975 and it is the world's biggest carrier.

Check out the American fleet. It's one of theirs. Ours are just jump-jet decks really. One thing though, UK did at least invent the aircraft carrier and used them against the German fleet in WW-One. I mean, it just scared the sshit out of them!

It's a tie. The USS Ronald Reagan and USS George H. W. Bush are the same size because they are from the Nimitz Class, but if you are looking for the largest ship at sea then its the Reagan because Bush isn't complete yet.

What would be the point? You don't put all your eggs in one basket and a carrier can only be in one place at one time. Additionally, where would it dock? Most port facilities in the world can't handle a ship that size and the carrier would have to be replenished and they do come into port. Bigger is not necessarily better.
