I've been going out with this girl for a month now, but she doesn't live near me. We talk every single night on the phone for endless hours usually, but recently her family has been getting really really annoyed by it. Also, she can only call me past 9 because her cell phone plan sucks.
School is starting for both of us in a few days, and staying up late talking to her every night isn't really gonna fly with either of our parents. I've heard of like these little things that are made specifically for texting, and you don't need a plan for them. I think that this MIGHT help us so that her mom doesn't know that we're up late talking, and so that she doesn't keep her little sister up all night talking on the phone. But, I was wondering if anyone knew of any other ways of communicating that are like this.
Also, I wanted to know like ways of coping with a long distance relationship....because with school starting so soon I'm not gonna be able to focus or deal with this

The closest thing you can get to a phone is IMing. Such as Yahoo Messenger, AIM, or MSN. If both of you have microphones, then you could even talk over there. Plus webcams, you could see her talking to you, that's always nice.
If she doesn't have constant access to a computer, then email or text messages would probably be best. Long distance relationships can be hard, I know. And when it's in text instead of spoken words, you still get the meaning, but not so much of the feeling.
Try not to worry so much about how to deal with it. The less you talk to her, the more meaningful talking to her will be, and you will have more to talk about, with school and everything going on. I know it's gonna suck for a while, but if you both can deal with this well enough, it could very well strengthen your relationship actually.

What do you mean "going out with".It does not appear that you have met this girl or even seen her picture,and although you guys may talk every night ,I would describe what is going on as a pen-pal style friendship over the telephone.Anyway,as far as your question is concerned, you can try using e-mail or write letters to each other.I wish you both the best.

Texting is a good way.email.I-M.any of thoses will do it. But I dont think having a long distance relationship is a good idea.

im in the same mess right now. txting is great do that then you can picture message too. and everyweekend see if you can get out to see her.
