Not in most regions, but there is one city in the US that requires it (can't remember the name right now, but if I recall, I'll fix my answer), and there are some places in the US that are considering making Hep A vaccinations mandatory for food workers. It's being considered in Los Angeles because of a particular scare involving Wolfgang Puck's catering company last year (even though NO DINERS caught the virus!!!). IMHo, it's a stupid idea because the people who often take food service jobs are the ones who can't afford Hep A vaccines. Moreover, many people who do prep and serve your food are from Hep A endemic regions, so they've already had it as children and are not an infectious threat to anybody (as far as Hep A is concerned).
