Ok so let me get this straight, I can be a mass murderer my whole life. I can dismember children in front of their parents. I can kill ever living thing and on my deathbed if I ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus into my life I will go to heaven? But If I have no belief in god for my whole life but I am a good person and treat everyone with respect, I do good things to benefit society, then when I die I have to burn eternaly in hell? Sounds a little suspect to me.

I don't really care what "God" does as I don't believe in any of the world's religions. I have my own ideas.

that being said, I just like to see how people explain this little conundrum. I am sure if I posted my address the converters would flock to my door to save my soul.

Furthermore. I think the bible is a lot of propaganda to give the church power. I do believe that there was probably a Jesus...(don't go for the immaculate conception...sounds to me like someone got pregnant before getting married and needed a reason not to be stoned to death by the townspeople).

I would bet Jesus was a carpenter and had a religion...then he just treated his fellow man with compassion and stood up for the people that needed standing up for. Then he was crucified with a lot of other people and basically made a martyr. 2000 years is a long time for a story to evolve.

Sounds like a pretty crappy system to me. Ok, I created you to be imperfect and make mistakes and generally screw up. But hey I also created this little humans user manual so that you can bow down before me and wipe the slate clean. So you believe in me and accept me into your heart and I do everything in my power to test you and mess with you. Why do I do this, well I am really bored out here and I don't have anything else to do.

.....you believe in what you want to believe in. I will believe in what I want to believe in. Don't even bother trying to sell your belief's on me. if this were practised more often in the world we wouldnt have war.

Yes it is a scam and it was invented by men . Jesus OR God never said anything about being forgiven. Infact they said you have to work in order to be forgiven:

“Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”

Jesus replied:

“The most important one is this: ‘Hear O Israel, Yahweh our God, Yahweh is one. Love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” (Mark ch.12, vv.28-29).

How many Christians follow this today??? with this whole Trinity nonsense, here Jesus is saying it loud and clear, ONE God, Yahweh. Not 3 in 1.

“Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

Jesus replied:

“Why do you call me good? No one is good — except God alone.” (Mark ch. 12, v. 19).

Luke 6:46: Why do you call me, “Lord, Lord,” and do not do what I say?

Matthew 19:17: …If you want to enter life, obey my teachings.

John 14:15: If you love me, you will obey my commandments.

Sure, that may sound suspect, but it's true. You gave two opposite ends of the spectrum. I would argue that the first instance is very rare. The second I'm sure happens much more frequently. The bottom line is that the only way to heaven is through faith in Jesus and His atoning, vicarious death on the cross for our sins. If we accept Him as Lord of our lives and trust in Him, we will be forgiven, no matter how bad (or good) our past is. The people in both instances need Him the same. The Bible says that if you break even the smallest law, you are guilty of it all. In God's eyes, the person who lives a "good" life is just as guilty as the person who murders. Also, our attempts at being "good" apart from Christ are as filthy rags in the sight of God. Only through Christ can we please God, and only through faith in Him can we attain eternal life.

You got it right. According to the bible, the only unforgiveable sin is rejecting God. The thing you have to remember in your little outline of these two lives is that your second hypothetical, the person who has not killed anyone, is not without sin. All it takes is one sin to keep anyone out of the kingdom of God, and no one is without sin.

I don't mean to talk down to you, but...it isn't what you think about how one is saved that matters. It is the way of salvation that God has provided, and that is by repentance of sin, whatever it is, and faith in Jesus as savior. Yes, to the truly repentant, God forgives anything. As a Christian, I find that very moving. I guess I have a better idea of what a sinner I am than.....some people.

This is why I left the church. Even though the Bible, which Christians call infallible, contradicts the popular belief that what you just said is true, many Christians think that belief in THEIR god, and none other (not to mention Jesus and something called the Holy Spirit, who they treat with utter neglect), they still believe it. As Jesus said quite a few times in the NT "HYPOCRITES!"

forgivness isn't the answer, at least not without repentence.
You can ask forgivness all you want, and stillcommit that sin and you will still go to Hell.
See God is not angry with you, when Christ died on the cross He took all the angry out of God.
God has nothing but love for you, and personally a God who only asks that you ask for forgivness to not burn your soul--well that's really a small price to pay, to not burn forever.

God didn't create sin, or suffering.
He did though create a way out of it for you.
it's that easy.... I would really like to talk to you IF your interested email me houseoffun5@yahoo.com

Wow...... I feel sorry for u. Yes, you can be the worse murderer in the world, and if u ask Jesus into your heart to save u and take away ur sins you can go to Heaven---but ONLY if you mean it. IF it's just something your saying, it doesn't mean anything and, no, u won't go to Heaven. Being good or bad has nothing to do with it. We all have sin in us and sin can't be in Heaven. So the only way to get to Heaven is to get rid of that sin. And that's why we ask Jesus into our heart, He died to take away those sins. We just have to take that gift then we can go to Heaven. IF u don't accept it, u go to Hell. We're all on our way to Hell. If you ask Jesus in ur heart, however, you will go to Heaven------but again, ONLY if u mean it. So remember it has NOTHING to do with how good u r. God loves everyone and He will save EVERYONE.

Jesus said that no one can come to him unless the father allows that person to desire repentance. Death bed conversions may happen sometime, but I wouldn't worry too much about the mass murderers of the world achieving forgiveness.

So you think God should only save the good people that don't want it? How about those that mocked Him? How about those that spit upon Him? How about those that pulled out His beard chunk by chunk? How about those that peeled His skin away from His back? Or pounded nails into His palms and feet? I doubt you have a single concept of the grace and mercy of God. It's not limited like man's puny logic.

Matthew 9:12
“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick."

It is up to God who examines your heart condition instead of what you pretend. So, your goose is cooked! God hopes everyone will turn to Him, but He will not lose sleep over your condition in your question.

You are just not the be all and end all in the universe. I am sure this comes as a shock to you.

You sound like a discontent. Your statement is assumptive not Christian. You are looking at the social moray and saying that (social moray) is Christianity. It is very evident that you have no Faith. You are definitely a skeptic.
