I'm a 16 year old girl trying to get into the fashion model business. The problem is that I'm only 5'6. I need to be 5'7 to get anywhere close. Do I still have hope or should I consider commercial modeling?

There's a painful and expensive surgery that involves lengthing your legs. It's more common in places like China where height is important. It's not worth it and although I support most plastic surgery, this surgery is just ridiculous.

You should look into getting an agent or finding a talent agency to see what they have to say. Maybe go get professional pictures done. Don't throw a lot of money in order to do any of this. There's a lot of shady people out there. It takes more than height to be a model.

If i'm not mistaken you have to be at least 5'10 to model the runway, but not sure about commercials.
For height there is very little you can do. You can however hang on a chin up bar for a couple minutes a day and that may add half an inch to your height because it kind of spreads out your joints in a way. Hard to explain for half an inch at the most. And I don't think you want to try pills and such, god know what kind of a side effect they have.

Growth plates in the bones close (stop lengthening the bones) when you go through puberty.
