I'm pretty sure that they're not, because they are a secondary infection from something such as a cold, but I have a sinus infection and now my boyfriend thinks he is getting one too. Is this coincidence, sympathized pain, or it is really contagious?

I used to get them all the time so I know when I have one. Green mucus and all... plus bleeding. I worry about him though, because he's stubborn and won't go to the dr and get an rx (I am going tomorrow)

No, not contagious unless you smear your mucous on his face and eyes...UGH!! Then the germs would get into your system and cause a cold that may morph into a sinus infection for him!

A sinus infection is generally a secondary infection, and is itself not contagious. However, whatever led to the sinus infection could be contagious, so two people in close proximity could ultimately both end up with a sinus infection.

It could be either one, he could have had a sinus attack and not know it and picked up an infection from you. It can be physico somatic or an excuse to avoid you in your pain. Who knows!

Experts will tell you it is contagious. However, it is very hard to contract it from others.

i really dont think so, or if it is its hard to spread, although you might have been close enough to him and spread it....it is an infection
