If she isn't asleep by 9 she has to go to bed then. Our two older kids go to bed at 9, and at first I thought that may be too late for her, but she's fine in the morning and after school, so it works for us. I prefer all of them to be in bed by 8:30, but hubby thinks it's too much sleep. When you have 4 kids, 8:30 is a great time for bed! God Bless.

between 7:30 and 8pm depending on what time he needs to be up in the morning and if he wakes up naturally at the right time. Also, I have always had nap/rest time for 5 yr olds until they are in school fulltime.

I have a 4 year old daughter and she goes to bed at 8pm Sunday thru Thursday and 9 or 9:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. It is like this because of my wifes and my work scheadule and she goes to preschool at 7:30am.

In bed at 7:30, and I'll read until 8, but they are usually asleet before that.

We're a week away from school starting, and we're just starting to get them back into their regular bed-time routine. That will be: in bed at 8pm and lights out at 8:30.
As far as when he will actually fall asleep.. who knows. :-)

My little brother just turned six, and he doesn't really have a bed time. He probably goes to sleep between nine thirty and ten thirty on week days and some weekends he goes to bed later. He probably should go to bed earlier, and I try to help him with that. I tuck him in every night :)

My 5 year old sons bedtime is 7.30pm but he rarely makes it that long. He always gets up at about 5.30am (mores the pity!) so he falls asleep very early.

8:00 sounds pretty good. That gives them time to get a bedtime story, etc. But we all know, there is no telling when they will fall asleep.
