"...whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness and is guilty of an eternal sin." (Mark 3:29)"

if you are guilty of blaspheme, you are going to hell according to the bible. Why bother to repent when Jesus clearly said it is UNFORGIVABLE.

If you disagree that an eternal sin will not commit you to hell, then what would the punishment be if heaven is supposed to be "perfect"?

Everyone is going to hell according to the bible. It's the grave.

There are 2 graves , one for the body and one for the soul. All bodies wind up in the grave (dead). But all souls do not wind up in the grave (die). There is more than one way to blaspheme the holy spirit. The one you refer to is refusing to repeat what the holy spirit puts into your mind to say when you are delivered up to the synagogue of satan (Mark 13 : 11) That blasphemy is the ONLY unpardonable sin and I think that repenting is a waisted endeavor. Since you have stressed the word "perfect" I am assuming that precludes spiritual death . Which is what is called for biblicly so any answer I give is not going to be acceptable to you. Father K has point . The type of blasphemy against the holy spirit you refer to can not be committed until satan is here pretending to be God / Jesus. And this unpardonable sin can only be committed by God's
"elect". So no worries in that department yet.

According to Jesus, there is only one unforgiveable sin, and that is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. You do this by continually resisting the call to be saved and have your sins washed away. Your heart grows so hard that soon you will be saying what the Holy Spirit does is evil. This was the context when Jesus made this statement in Matthew 12. The Pharisees were saying that what Jesus was doing was of Satan.

The rule of thumb is... if you are worried that you have committed the unpardonable sin--you haven't. So do not worry about your past in regard to this. You would have never written this question if you had done this.

The blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven - not because it is a sin “too big” for God to forgive, but because it is an attitude of heart that cares nothing for God’s forgiveness. These words were never intended to torment anxious souls honestly desiring to know Jesus, but they stand out as a warning of the danger of persisting in the rejection of the Spirit’s testimony of Christ, until the seared conscience no longer responds to the gospel message.

This would no longer be an issue in heaven.

I would respond by asking, "When are you ultimately guilty of the unpardonable sin?" The answer is at death. The original Aramaic of this passage does not mean saying blasphemous things against the Holy Spirit. It implies rejecting Him. The only time it's too late to accept Him is at death. There is no sin too great for Christ's blood to cover, if we will repent and turn to Him. The thing that sends men to hell is rejecting Christ, and even that can be undone until one dies.

1) You obviously know nothing about WHAT the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is, do you?

I'll give you a hint...The case of "blasphemy against the Spirit" in the New Testament is mentioned in Mark 3:22-30 and in Matthew 12:22-32.

And it has to do with saying that the Holy Spirit comes from Satan (or, in context, Beelzebub)

2) It is impossible for a Christian (one who is saved) to do this - read the above scriptures in context.
