I can't speak for all Christians, but I know that I do. I work with the music at my church, and it's mostly classical. Sometimes, I feel very close to God as a direct result of the music that I'm singing. Even if I'm not actively singing, but just listening to a person or choir singing (or an organist playing music), sometimes it puts me very much in the mood to praise and worship God. At times, I feel that I've worshiped God far more by my active involvement with the music than by simply sitting through a sermon.
