I'm taking a criminal justice course about California Criminal Law and if the law is like California's then she would most likely have to take a test under the M'Naghten rule to see if she knew right from wrong. But she since she is a naval officer I don't think that this would be the best defense. I mean it was clear that she had a clear motive for the actions that she took and it wouldn't matter if it was a regular criminal trial or a courtmartial.
