The 797 is likely to be the next generation narrow body aircraft that they will offer as a replacement for the 737/A320 types. It will likely have an all composite fuselage and a next generation turbofan and offer a new era of fuel efficiency for the class.

Nobody knows where they'll go with the numbers after 797. They might have given us a clue back in the 60s when they called their version of the U.S. SST the 2707.

no those planes are computer graphics. you can tell because they're partially pixalated on the wings.
