The whole city of Washington is laid out on a pentangonal plan. The founding fathers were mostly Masonic.
It has nothing to do with paganism.

You obviously slept through geometry class. The Pentagon is shaped exactly like a pentagon. A pentacle is a five-pointed star, like the one your elementary school teacher used to put on your best work. Pentagons and pentacles are not the same thing. The Wicca symbol is a pentacle inscribed within a circle. The US government has no significant Pagan factions and only very recently has begun to acknowledge that some of its citizens might be Pagan.

how do you get that the pentagon is shaped like a penticle?

maybe if you connected the outside 5 points of the star and then erased the middle and built a wall around the remaining line.

penticle, 5 points.

pentagon, 5 sides.

maybe it is just an efficient way to build a building for the purposes that the government needs.

well, a 'pentagon' is a five sided object, and a 'pentagram' is a star shaped object. they aren't the same, in any way. if a pentagram's 'sides' were to be counted, there would be 10, while a pentagon, as stated, has 5.

there is no relation between the two. you really should stop trying to find connections between things which don't exist.

Yes. The Pentagon is shaped the way it is because it represents a 5 pointed star, which does indeed have pagan origins. No joke.

Supposedly, the U.S. Gov't is SECULAR, neither pagan nor any other religion - but who knows what the designers had in mind.
