1 Thessalonians 5: 20 - Test everything, stay away from evil and hold on to what is good.. (GOD's promises and love).By laying aside our striving for advantage and security and pleasure we can serve GOD lovingly and freely.

GOD tells us how we can be eternal stars by being *WISE* and leading many to GOD's Holy Righteousness!

What can you hold on to in a lifetime that is only good?

The WISE see ultimate joy in the return of our Lord, the Spiritually Blind see only death, chaos and destruction.

Jesus also warned, "do not try to guess the year and date of the end times, for only the father knows".

If I only see, as you put it, "death, chaos and destruction" then I wouldn't think that my life was so wonderful would I? I have a great life, have had truly wonderful people become a part of it and I intend on making every moment count. I only get one life so I'm going to live it well; not wish it away on something that is not there.

There was a time when people used to travel just as we do today. But the difference is we do it to relax they did it to find wisdom. An example was Queen Sheba when she came to see Solomon because of the news she heard of his wisdom, she traveled all that way not to relax but to seek wisdom. God tells us wisdom shouts out for us in his word. And it says many laugh at it and do not listen. Like in Noah's time people laughed at him called him a fool saying there will be no Flood it does not rain in this part of the world. Yet the flood came and the people who thought them self wise where turned to fools. They had lost there chance to listen to Noah who was wise.

Weather it be in death, or at the end of times all will have to face this, and those who listened to God will as you say see the Joy in Christs return, they will know him because of the wisdom God gave them during their life time onearth. and yes the blind will see only death. The bible tells us they will shout for wisdom but she will not listen. They will not be able to find Gods truth and will see only death.

I listen to the bible and watch its writings on the future fall into place. And as I do this I pray that I can help others see what God has for them if they test his word as well. Most thikn it is a joke though, they see no wisdom there at all.

We are to test prophets......if any of them have even one prophecy that turns out to be false we are to disregard that person's entire prophetic 'ministry'. We ought never scoff at prophecies but test them, as you say. "Test the spirits" behind all things !!!! This is Biblical. The Lord's promises to return are indeed joyful.........I think everyone on earth wants to see JUSTICE meted out......it is a cry of each human heart. Well, the Lord will do just that....and He will be fair! PTL!

Unfortunately, the spiritually blind see sin as the way of being fulfilled and happy. What they don't see is it leads to that wide path of death and destruction.
