Can we all agree that something exists somewhere and we don't know what the hell it is?

Let us all just quit pretending.

Narf, it wouldn't be a god thing, that would be pretending.

Steel6in2k, re-read what you just wrote and see the great truth in it. There is nothing truer in all the world's scriptures than in what you just said.

Charity if you believe in non-physical realities that you can't see you're obviously pretending.

Then what is it we are agreeing on, if we cannot define it?

I remember a Steve Martin skit on SNL, where he just stood there and repeated "What the hell is that?" for a few minutes, while changing his posture and giving different puzzled looks at the camera. Is that what you are expecting us to do, just ask with no expectation of getting an answer?

If you mean a God thing. Nope, I do not agree that it exists. If I did I would be a deist or theist.
Thanks for the olive branch but I will not lie about something that I do not believe in.

No. I can't agree that some invisible, supernatural "something" exists somewhere, if that's what you're talking about.

I'd be happy if we could stop sniping so much - I admit I'm guilty of it, too - and just let each other believe or not believe as seems right to each.

edit to add: Forgive my grammar!

I'll agree that it's possible that something unknown exists somewhere. Is that close enough?

I think that there are some things that exist that we don't know about it yet. Is that something an omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent god? I don't agree with you there.

It seems to be harder for some people to believe that non-physical realities may exist.

The human race does indeed have much to discover. But I have considered all options, and I'm still certain there is no God. Also, many who have done likewise are certain there is.

The unknown does not imply the supernatural.

If I agreed I'd be agnostic... I am an atheist and I'll be damned(lmao) if I change my beliefs just because someone wants me to be them on "common ground"...
