Not extremely bad.But enough to get me concerned.Why is this and when can I eat pinapple again?My gums started bleeding at about 11:30 p.m.

You should post this question in the dental section. What you experienced is common. If you are susceptible to acids then it will likely occur when you eat too many tomatoes or drink too much orange juice as well.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you, just know this about your individual physiology and adjust your intake of acidy foods and drinks.

That happens to me when I eat kiwi fruit. My doc had said that the acidity level in citrus fruits can irritate the mouth. My tongue burns outragiously after I eat kiwi, too much pineapple or large amounts of any citrus fruit. Do not eat as much next time

Fresh, not canned, pineapple has an enzyme that can be used to tenderize meat. If you eat a lot of fresh pineapple, your tongue or lips may be sore for a day or so. It should go away.

my gums burn too for some reason when i eat pineapple it could be because your allergic try eating maybe 1 of these next time itprobably shouldnt cause this again :) good luck!

its nothing to be concerned about. pineapple just creats sores. im not sure why but it happens to me too. you can eat it right away... but i would wait a few days to let your gums heal a little.

next time you eat pineapples try sprinkle a little bit of salt. or letting them sit in a bath of slightly salted water. it helps to wash away the acidity.
