Shouldn't Americans be allowed to buy land in Mexico and drive up the cost of land?

Before you say U.S. Citizens can buy land in Mexico; you can't. You have to be a Mexican Citizen to buy land in Mexico.

You can buy land in Mexico with some restrictions, although those restrictions are minimal, check with a real estate company. land here along the coast cost more then land in cal. or Florida, but inland it becomes real cheap. I live in central Mexico and have an fm3, renewable every three years. I like it here a lot in the mountains, 4 seasons, not to hot and never to cold.
Since most of the trash moved north, it's a pretty nice place to live.

You can't buy coastal land. In general you can buy interior land but you will either have to reside on it or have a Mexican caretaker. There are a few more requirements it is depending where and the type of land.
Land is drive up by two things available and the willing of someone to pay your asking price. Value has little to do with it except where the banks are concerned.
Mexico would be no different.

No, illegals should not be allowed to come and drive down wages. If Americans can buy land in Mexico that's up to the Mexicans, just like it should be us here who can buy land

Are we not allowed to? And driving down the cost of labor is an interesting subject. Do companies that hire illegals for less money lower their prices? I haven't seen that. So, why would a republican be against companies making as much as they can? Or do they want to screw just the Americans working for minimum wage?

I believe you may already buy land in Mexico. All you would need to do is go there and have the necessary funds available.

Yes, they should. That would be good for everyone. Mexico would gain the liquid capital they need, and Americans would have sunny beaches where they could go which is cheaper than Florida and California.
