Wow I read that as 13,200 lbs not 13 yrs old and 200 lbs ..

You should get a good checkup from the Doctor to rule out any medical reason for you gaining/not losing weight.

After you do that, keep doing what you have been doing and don't be ashamed of running in daylight, though I think walking would benefit you more and be easier on you until you drop some of the weight.

Dancing is really good exercise and burns a lot of calories, you can do that at home too.

If you can get some hand weights try working with those, or take some cans of food and use those as weights.

Head to the beach and swim, don't worry what people think. Throw some shorts on and go for it =)

Make sure you cut all soda and junk food out except for the occasional treat.

Watch out how much fruit you are eating since some fruit is very high in sugar.

Dannon has a 60 calorie yogurt that is delicious, you can have that as a snack.

Eat regular times of the day and try not to eat after 8pm.

Drink lots of water to keep you hydrated and it will also curb your appetite by filling you up.

Also remember your body is going through changes because of your age, so don't panic if you gain a few pounds, just keep moving and eating right and you will be fine =)

Good Luck to you =)

12 Tips for Atkins Diet

1. If what you are eating has less than 1 carb, count it as 1 carb just to be sure.

2. Totally avoid caffine at least for the first two weeks on the program.

3. Drink a MINIMUM of 8 glasses of plain water or seltzer daily.

4. Don't weigh yourself more than once a week

5. Take starting measurements as well as weight - sometimes you'll lose inches before pounds

6. Avoid any type of "low carb" sweetener for the first two weeks

7. Don't compare your loss to someone else's - this is a YMMV thing (your milage may vary)

8. Stalls are common around the third week so don't panic

9. If you follow your plan to the T and don't lose, consider Candida as a possibility and avoid vinegar, cheese, mushrooms and any other fermented food

10. Have bloodwork done before starting so you have a comparison

11. Cholesterol can be elevated in the first few weeks til your body adjusts - make sure your doctor knows that you're doing low carb and when you started

12. Don't blame the diet if you don't read your plan book -- blame the diet if you don't read the labels -- Don't blame the diet if you don't follow the diet

Fruit can be fattening too. It has sugar in it, they are just a different kind of sugar. Try eating 6 very small meals a day, and limiting carbs and fats. I am overweight also, and have started the nutri-system diet. It has been two weeks, and I have lost 7 lbs, and a dress size. I will not stay on their food after my shipment runs out, but I will follow their plan and substitute my own food in the correct amounts. Eat a whole lot of salad (little to no dressing) and only 2 servings of fruit per day at breakfast and early afternoon.

Aerobic excercise is going to be the only thing that burns the fat away.

Eat right, fruits, vegetables and lean meats like chicken and fish.

Walk. Walking is the best exercise proven to man because:

- Anyone can do it, regardless of your age or activity level
- Cost effective, all you need is a pair of running shoes and water
- You can do it anywhere, indoors, outdoors even in your backyard.

125 is a good weight, but even 150 lbs at 5'4 is fine. You'll feel so much better about yourself once you start seeing results, it takes time!

To a very high degree, you should weigh as much as you feel happy with weighing.

As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that

That being said, if you want to lose weight, exercise is a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. In addition to that, I would recommend meeting with a nutritionist or dietitian to see if there is something else that may benefit you more

It looks like you weigh 13,200 lbs, not 200, you might want to edit that.

Find friends who could walk with you, it is not necessary to run after dark. The most important thing is to exercise regularly, and walking an hour or so a day would be a good way to do it. But you won't stick with it unless you enjoy it, so get together with others and walk together, and make it a fun time to talk and visit with others.

Purple got it exactly right. Someone once told me not to eat anything "white", which would include bread, potatoes, rice, etc. But you should see a good doctor. Your hormones are definitely in flux right now, but there could (could, not is) be a hormonal deficiency, like thyroid deficiency, which often shows up in the early teens. It doesn't hurt to ask the doctor about this. When we were in school we ate a LOT of salads and drank tea, LOL Keep up the good work, and don't get discouraged. You don't lose weight overnight.

I personally don't like diets and stuff like that, BUT some girls at work tried weight watchers and lost a lot of weight. I always thought weight watchers was nasty food, but apparently it's not the food it's the portions they eat. You should look into it. They also go to get weighed somewheres and make friends there. Don't be emabrassed F!! Them! It's all about you! Not them!

I have a heavy set friend, who helped himself lose weight by filling himself up with water. The idea was that it tricked his stomach and hormones into thinking he was full and cut his appetite urge. Yes the feeling of hunger, that too has to be dealt with as well as eating right and exercising.

Now when I say filled himself up with water, he didn't over do it as to dilute his electrolyte level in his body, which would have been bad.
