I live in California where medical marijuana is legal and there are a lot of medical marijuana dispensaries but I have never heard where the dispensaries get the marijuana from. Does anyone know?

If you are licensed as a caregiver, you can grow it for yourself and others. "Others" including dispenaries that supply patients.

I have read that the federal government has a marijuana farm in the US. It is there for research. Maybe that is where they get it. I do not know for sure. I think it is located in Louisiana.
