you've got to be kidding me with these people. Sorry for your loss. A therapist is a great resource and a safe place to explore your feelings. You are a brave, strong woman for asking for outside help!

I found a great one by asking a friend who I knew was pleased with hers. She is a psychologist, a PHD and is awesome. It has been my experience that Psychiatrists are very "medical" and not what I needed, talk wise...

I am not sure what kind of therapist you are looking for, but I do know it is fine to "shop around" until you find one that clicks. Good luck and stay strong.

I'm sorry about your loss. I'll preface my answer by saying that you should avoid any practitioner of Dianetics (also known as "Scientology") unless you want to add vast financial losses and being a member of a mind-control cult to your problems.

I'd recommend seeing a psychologist. Psychologists help people deal with problems through talking, listening, and teaching new coping skills when necessary. Your local licensing body might be able to give you the names of people specializing in grief and loss.

bereavement therapist. or just an ordinary psychologist. call first tell them the situation. if they cant help they will set you in the right direction of someone who can. And im very sorry you lost your fiance. best of luck, feel free to send me a message if you need a friend to talk to.

Sorry to hear your devastating news. You could ask your gp to reccomend a bereavement counsellor or give you the names of some psychotherapists who also specialise in bereavement.
Also your gp can prescribe you some medication to take along side your counselling.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Look for a grief therapist. If you can't find one listed in the yellow pages, ask at your hospital.

Dianetics is a fancy word for BS - just listen Tom Cruise and John Travolta and you'll understand what I mean.....

Seek a professional, licensed psychiatrist.

Sorry for your loss.......

A grief counselor. Don't try Dianetics - forget it.

Have you considered Dianetics? I've seen some amazing results with it.

Go to my blog, it's in the upper right: www.myspace.com/thedavezone
