is it really because the bible was taken out of the school? or is it because the death penalty and the ability to defend ourselves was removed?

(yes u can defend yourself, but if u dont kill em, you'll most likely get sued)

hmmm? is lack or religion to blame or the lack of a proper justice system?

my answer is the lack of proper justice system, especially when its claimed that 80% of the states are christian.... its obviously not lacking religious teachings.

Lol, had the bible been in schools there would probably be more violence.
You can lead a horse to water, but you surely can't make him drink. And I think if you shoved his nose in the stream he'd be even more less inclined.

It's bad parenting, greedy people and America itself. We do things in excess.
Although the crappy justice system has a bit to do with it too.

Well actually...if you're saying the crime rates have risen...as there have been adjustments in our Judicial system, then it would naturally conclude that it IS because of a lack of Christian religious teachings. Considering the fact that these systems were founded on these very beliefs. By the country's founding forefathers who were religious and also practiced Christianity.

"is lack or religion to blame or the lack of a proper justice system?"
To quote - If it's the lack of a proper justice system NOW and Christianity is the ONLY part of the justice system that was REMOVED....then yes of course it would conclude that the improper justice system was a result of blotting out the religious teachings that were once IN it.

I don't think the crime rate has anything to do with a lack of religious endorsements in public schools. But the other choice is that we've "removed" the death penalty and the right to defend ourselves?

The death penalty is still on in many states, and you can still bear arms.

I have to say, I love it when people try to argue that if we just had more guns on the streets, and more people packing heat, there would be less crime - because we could stop the bad guys, ya see? If only every old lady hobbled around with an assault rifle, the world would be that much safer.

Personally, I think oozɐƃ ʇɐǝɹƃ ǝɥʇ's argument makes a lot more sense.

I would say the lack of a proper justice system and the fact that parents are not disciplining children in any way. I could care less about the religious teachings but it seems that children are not being taught basic things like respect for other people and other people's property. I also don't think they are being set up for success in school, success which translates into acceptance into college, a good job, and financial security so that they don't have to commit crimes.

The Crime rate always goes up when republicans are in the white house. If you cut funding to cities, cut police funds, fire department fund,s cut funds to veterans coming home from a war. When children dont have day care. When parents have to work four jobs at minumum wage. Below the poverty level.
We will have crime.
The funny thing is that they use Gods name to lower taxes. Out of the sides of there mouths they call poor people lazy.I dont care there are very very very few christians in this country, They worship money . The only thing they care about is not paying taxes.

*sigh*......... look around you....... the cost of living is ridiculous, our schools *charge* us to send our kids there, even though we are paying taxes left and right...... the interest rate goes up and down daily...... In my neighborhood alone, 3 families have lost their home this month...... People or lacking the ability to say NO when their friends offer them an *easy* way out...... and YES our justice system stinks!!!! When a criminal has more *rights* than the victim we are in serious trouble..... IT has NOTHING to do with being a Cristian or not....... I could argue that point, but *shrug* people who think that way have their OWN problems..... but, I will say this (again) , anyone can claim to believe IN God, it is the *Believing * him, taking him at his word that makes the difference......... go in peace.......... God bless

38 states have the death penalty on the books. Homicide rates are actually higher in states and regions with the death penalty than in those without it. We have a good alternative. Life without parole is on the books in 48 states. It means what it says.

touch drugs but as a example someone gets caught smoking pot JAIL whilst the dealer is out selling all types of drugs to kids.If you molest children you sign your name in a register, those people do not belong on the street.

Crime rates are lower in countries where the majority of citizens are atheists. Teen pregnancies and divorce are higher in southern states which are more religious. There's no correlation. The US is the most religious country in the western world. Also the most immoral.

Take the time to research and compare the crime rate in the United States with the crime rate in Sweden, a completely non-religious country that has taken the Bible out of the country. You'll be surprised.
