Just curious what you think would be a great opening line to use on someone you see walking on the street?

well,look her in the eyes - we love that. do not gawk at her,or look at her cleavage. what you say depends on the situation - say hello,introduce yourself,ask about something nearby - are you new here-the time - compliment her.. what would work on me is :
"hi,my name is steve - whats yours? ..... what a lovely name,i don't mean to be foreward,and i don't want to take up your time,but i must say that you are breathtaking. what do you say we exchange numbers - and i take you out for a dinner or coffee sometime - it can't hurt,everyones got to eat =)" give a winning,confident smile - i would melt. be sincere,confident and casual. seem honest and in no way sleazy.

If you are talking about picking up a girl, nothing can be too corney, lines like 'ooooh girl, you r fine" are a high commodity, splashes like "thats hot!" will definitely get their attention. I often times go for a smile and "whats up babe" but thats not necessarily good for anyone. If you are just talking about saying hello to just anyone...well, on the streets of New York this might not be a very good idea, may be where you at is normal . peace.

Street walkers.......I guess, "How Much." Seriously, in general pick up lines you rehearse don't work. Try being sincere and starting a real conversation. What she is wearing is always a good topic. Women love compliments.

I'm afraid you (pl.) boys are totally clueless in this department from what I have seen on answers. Women keep telling you DON'T use a pick up line, yet you ignore their advice time and again. How about a big smile, and a "Hi?" Ask for directions to get a conversation going. Be creative. But please don't use the dumb pick-up lines.

What do you want to do? Get somebodies attention who looks good?
You could just smile, and say...''Heya'' and carry on walking.
Loads of guys have done that to me before and I don't think they're stupid.
Only thing you gotta make sure of is that the person actually looks at you.
I think that's all you can say really, if you don't know them...
Maybe pretend your lost, ask for directions or ask them wheather they have the time?
