When we ask for forgiveness, are we allowed to pray silently, or do we have to confess out loud what we are asking for forgiveness for?

I do it BOTH ways to tell you the truth...I guess it just depends on my mood, or what I might be praying about...I really think It is up to you...but know that GOD hears you
either way my friend.

If One talks to GOD directly and confess--silently in a crowded place and loudly in a lonely place -both are alright. But if on e confesses through a "GOD's AGENT, then, I think it is Silently!!

God knows our prayers even if we don't speak them out loud. But sometimes it helps US to know what we are asking for if we say it out loud.

Ps 139:4
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.
(from New International Version)

Confession absolves sins and forgives the person who commited them.

another HMMMM, for me....... we are directed to go *in the closet* so our words can not be heard by others... that means it is between you and God...... I seldom am alone, so there fore my prayers are done in silence.... if prayed with a *true* heart I think it matters not, silent or aloud....... the prayer goes directly to God............ just my humble opinion...... go in peace....... God bless
