I'm in chexsystems but my debt has been paid and I want to open a checking account with Citibank-has anyone been able to open a checking with Citibank being in chexsystems?

You should be able to open an account at Citi as long as you have verification from the other bank that your debt was paid.

Once the debt has been paid they have to remove you from Chex. Contact the bank that you squared away the debt with and insure they follow through, and or show a receipt that it has been cleared up

It took my sister 7 years to get off check systems what you need to do is talk to citibank and ask them to remove you.

yes but it is total up to the bank try wells fargo
