Well.....spanish is the second most spoken language in the US. You can find spanish speaking staff in hospitals, clinics, offices, look in the paper and you will see that many jobs list speaking spanish as a plus. So... Im guessing speaking spanish is in the lead.

Well let's see here. The parts of North and South America that weren't colonized by France and England were colonized by Spain (yes and Portugal, but you can make the same arguement for Portuguese as you can with French). Note the use of COLONIZED not emigrated (Germans and Irish and African slaves and others came too, but they did NOT start colonies and attempt to take over the continent). At least half of North America speaks English. A small fraction, Quebec, speaks French...and some Cajuns in Louisiana. The rest of the Western Hemisphere speaks Spanish. Okay and some Portuguese in Brazil, but the most prevalent language is Spanish. If you want to be understood, speak Spanish. Spanish is the most useful of the two languages to learn.

Learn Spanish first!! After that, learning French will come easier, because it too is Latin based. But, in the Americas, more people speak Spanish than French. In fact, more Spanish than French in spoken in the world!

Well I would choose by where I live. If you lived near the Canadian border, French would be a good language to know. In all other aspect due to the growing hispanic cultures, Spanish would be a good language to know. Unless you would like to lean a language more closer to you heritage. That's always fun.

The more VALUABLE language may well be French; the more USEFUL language is definitely Spanish. It depends what your aspirations are.

Depends what area you are living in. Southwest I would def go the Spanish route. Bordering Canada or in Louisiana go with French.

Depends on where you live and what you would need it for. I would say Spanish in the US, and French if in Canada

I prefer French, because it's part of my heritage. I have nothing against Spanish, I just love the French. Good luck. 2D

Spanish. Spanish. Spanish.
They comprise the majority of the foreign population here. And, it's almost necessary to get a good job anywhere here.
