Well, to be classified as anorexic you have to be at least 15% below your ideal weight. (you CAN still be anorexic at a normal weight because nervosa is a mental illness though) So the ideal weight for a person who is 5 foot 4 is about 110-115 pounds. 15% of that is 16.5 pounds so 110-16.5 pounds is around 93.5 pounds.

You are considered anorexic if you are exhibiting anorexic behavior. The number on the scale is really basically an indicator that one *may* be anorexic, but low weight can also be brought on by other issues such as bulimia. Anorexics do (obviously) have low body weight because of refusal to eat, but it's not the body weight that makes the person anorexic, it's their behavior patterns.

Warning Signs of Anorexia:

* Loss of menstrual period
* Dieting obsessively when not overweight
* Claiming to feel "fat" when overweight is not a reality
* Preoccupation with food, calories, nutrition, and/or cooking
* Denial of hunger
* Intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat.
* Body Image Issues: Making your weight the only thing you judge yourself on, denying the medical seriousness of your low weight.
* Excessive exercising, being overly active
* Frequent weighing
* Strange food-related behaviors
* Episodes of binge-eating
* 15% or more below normal body weight/rapid weight loss
* Depression
* Slowness of thought/memory difficulties
* Hair loss

They would have to have a BMI of under 19 to be considered underweight, probably a BMI of 14 or 15 to be considered severely underweight or anorexic. So I guess about 90-95 lbs or so.

It depends on the person, but I'd say anywhere under 100 lbs is probably anorexic.

Your weight does not classify you as anorexic. It might classify you as underweight, though.

Anorexia is more than just being very thin/underweight. It has to do with how you see yourself, and it has to do with trying to control one's emotions via eating (or not eating as the case may be).

well anorexia is when you stop eating or binge and purge your food.

If you 5'4 inches and really skinny because you are born that way doesnt mean you are anorexic but if you are 5'4 and under 108 pounds that means you are underweight
