It is part of what we are to fall asleep after sex. A chemical thing that happens in our brains when we ejaculate causes us to become very sleepy. Along the same principle, most women seem to be hell-bent on talking all night long after sex; or, they want held. We aren't meant to ever be in tune to one another's needs all the time. TV and Dr. Ruth have led women to believe that this part of their fantasy life can be a reality. I have a question for you, now.
If we are with you and not someone else, and we sleep with you in our beds and not someone else, and we buy you rings and take you to dinner and try to do things that make you happy,
Why must you ask why we do this one little trivial thing?
Can you women not allow us to be MEN and can you not see that love you for being women? Can you not see that when you feel vulnerable is the only time we truly feel close to you?
My question is actually this:
Are we men allowed by you women to be human or do you expect us to be perfect?

Guys generally don't feel the same about sex as women do. Most guys anyway. When any of my guy friends and myself talk about stuff like that, they always talk about it like it's something you do with anyone. Guys who care for a girl are generally the ones who will stay awake after wards. But if you wanna know why guys are tired after wards, it's because of a rapid increase in adrenaline when a guy climaxes and when the adrenaline fades it leaves the body feeling slow.

Because for the male, who does most of the actual humping, sex is a very vigorous, tiring workout just in the movements of it alone. Add to that the enormous nervous energy release during orgasm, and it's no wonder we're tuckered out!
Sex is Nature's sleeping pill.

When people are having intercourse their genitalia become engorged with blood, and your body releases endorphins and proteins. (to power and heighten the experience). during climax even more blood is earmarked for sexual organs and chemicals are released in your brain (making the orgasm pleasurable). after-wards, (just like if you eat a couple candy bars and coffee) you crash. your body has to replenish the electrolytes and cells in your blood, and it gives you a general weary feeling(just like giving blood). so, it is very easy to fall into a warm pleasurable sleep. think of it like a cat cuddling in a just out of the warm dryer towel. I promise you that from personal experience ,(I am a male) it is defiantly not a negative thing at all. it is very indicative of a wonder full experience.

Sex is tiring for most men, and its relaxing. I am a female , I fall asleep right after sex, I am not shame to say it . Its a good thing, but its sooooooooooo tiring and relaxing at the same time.

There are certain hormones released after a man has an orgasm that are very conducive to sleep. But they aren't really that strong and are easy enough to overcome. Most guys, I'm guessing, just don't try that hard. I kind of enjoy the "afterplay".

Sleep hormones are released after they climax.

What I want to know is how those men that prefer morning sex can get up and go to work after that. I'd think they would be useless with the ZZZZ hormone coursing through them.

There's been evidence that shows that there's a chemical released in a man's brain during orgasm that makes them prone to falling asleep.

It effects each man differently - some will just find a way to stay "active" and work through that chemical -- others, especially if they're already tired, can't fight it and just ... Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
