That is truly a tough question - I'm going to go off on a limb here and say that my favorite Belgian ale style is probably any spontaneously fermented ale, such as a lambic or gueuze. I love what brettanomyces does to a beer - the tart flavor is addictive. Just from the sheer perspective of "uniqueness," these beers win out for me.

Short of that, the classic Belgian Quads - like Westvleteren 12 (Trappist) or St. Bernardus 12 are awefully high on my list as well.

Good question!

That's a tough question. I like the Season the best for the fact that they are refreshing in the Summer time, and have a great full flavor for a light beer. However, I also like the Trappists beers since they have a history being brewed by monks! They tend to be stronger hardier beers with many different characteristics to make each one unique!

Personally, I think Belgian ales are overpriced and overrated. Sure, you can catch a big buzz on the AC, but what is the point otherwise?

What is the world coming to when people treat ales like fine wines?

i admire amber. i'm a centrist self sustaining yet by way of fact i choose much less government and much less taxes, human beings say i'm a conservative, whilst i'm not. i admire that Alaskan Amber. in case you're a leftist and prefer amber, then you definately're extremely sensible - you desire your beer to have a style and not purely be water.

I have only had one B?elgian Style beer and that is blue moon. I like it a lot. It is soft and crisp, with no aftertaste. It is like a light beer texture wise, but it has full amber beer taste.

Isn't Stella Artois Belgium? I like it best because it is smooth but watered down like American beer.
