Look to yourself on that one. You asked why people ask for proof of god but cannot give proof of no god. I and others said that is impossible and asked you to give an example of proving the non-existance of something. You came back with a money example that does not prove non-existance of anything and then you just walked away.

What I am saying here is that you seem to be very closed minded in your questions as well. You just cannot entertain the thought that there is not a supreme being. I will entertain the idea if you can give me evidence to support it.

Well, questions aren't always asked in order to "see things in a different light." Many are asked in order to find out what others believe.

I think it's a question of everybody trying to "prove" their position to the other side. It might not be terribly constructive, but I suspect most of us find it fun. Plus, I learn alot by asking questions I know will get a passionate response - I try to ask questions that really force people to think about the finer points of their religion/viewpoint/whatever, which allows me to learn something about that viewpoint that I probably didn't know or had not considered.

This is a problem with Christians especially, they ask a question about Evolution or the Big Bang theory and ignore the answers which don't match Scripture, why waste the time I ask?

To degrade others religion only because they believe their's is right and true. But we are supposed to share opinions, and understand different religions perspective on life..even if you don't agree with it you still respect that persons right to say it. And I can say I have learned alot thus far and had some good arguments about religion and life.

Just because you want to hear other opinions and arguements for the sake of knowledge does not place you under obligation to adpot them as your belief.

Do you come in here expecting to change people's beliefs? If you are you will get frustrated very quickly.

Some don't...some do. I think some ask questions so they can let people know thier answer to the question they ask.

Well, it is so dang difficult to consider another point of view (gasp!), rethink one's own ideals and realize that may be his/her own thought process wasn't so flawless afterall -- However, it is pretty easy to be judgemental and self-righteous! And a much better time!

Because this technically isn't a message board, and we have to state our opinions in the form of a question.

I've read pretty much as seen "in a different light", but it doesn't enlighten me.
