It was cool it took place about 4:30 am in S.E.Kansas, the moon never went completely dark, but it did turn kind of a burnt red, made me think of Mars.

Your right about the Pagan comment, others probably were aware of the event as well, I just happened to be working and got to watch it turn dark and go over the horizon as the sun was rising, if i were a godly believer this would most likely be a sign of some sort, but as it is it was just way cool!

We cannot tell our secrets....lol j/k. Actually I had planned on posting something about it for those interested, however I didn't fancy getting on the computer last night because we had a pretty severe lightning storm, it was spectacular to watch tho. ( the lightning storm and the eclipse)

shouldve checked the little closet monster's almanac. i read about it days in advance. the reason it turns red is because the the diffusion of light in the earth's atmosphere keeps it from being entirely obscured by earth's shadow, so it appears dimly red instead of entirely black.
